Keeping Safe

Safety and End of the Day Routines

Please download the Safety Letter to Parents (2 November 2017) for important information for ALL parents.

Tuesday, 10th October 2017

We have been informed that somebody posing as a police officer has approached students from Chellaston Academy in Barrow-on-Trent recently.  Parents may have seen an article in the Derby Evening Telegraph.

While we do not wish to worry parents, it is important that we are all vigilant.  In assembly today, we have covered ‘Stranger Danger’ and the end of day routines.  Parents are reminded that any child who does not see their parents at 3.35 pm should wait with staff on the playground.

The officers involved in the Chellaston Safe Neighbourhood Team have been highlighted to the children so they can recognise them.  Children are reminded that there is always someone at school from 7.45 am until 6.00 pm should they have any concerns around the area of the school, they can come to the school office.

Please talk to your child about how to keep safe and let the school know if you have any concerns.

The PowerPoint from assembly is available to download below.
