Year 4 2019 - 2020
The Summer Term. 2020
I hope you all had a good half term and had the opprotunity to enjoy the lovely weather.
The home learning continues from 1.6.20 with the lessons being added daily. As usual, you will have the choice of whether you would like to use the BBC Bitesize Maths lessons or the White Rose. Both of the links will appear on the learning grid. Our daily English lessons will be planned using the Bitesize site.
The afternoon theme lessons will be added to the website separately and will based around a whole school theme of 'How Great is Britain'.
I hope you are all keeping safe and well. The Year 4 teachers really enjoy hearing from you on Class Dojo and really appreciate your support and hard work.
Take care and thank you.
Reading at Home
As a way to try and help with reading at home, Mrs Onion has very kindly put together some questions that you can ask to check your child's understanding of their book. These questions come in two parts. The first part focuses on questions you can ask before starting reading and the second part focuses on questions to ask during the reading. We hope this really helps you out at home. These questions are in PDF form and can be found at the bottom of this page. They will remain on the website permanently so you can keep reusing them.
Here are some fun activities for those of you who are at home and unable to attend school.
- Read Bug Club
- Read your reading book or any books you have at home and talk to someone about the story
- Go on TT Rock Stars
- Work on the activities on Spelling Shed
- Think about the activities we did during circuit training in PE. Practise 5 of the activities for 15 minutes. Challenge! Get your parents to join in
